Get Involved: Make a difference
At NCAD we are passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for everyone to explore their interest in art and design such as mature learners, Irish travellers, ethnic minority groups and people with disabilities. NCAD collaborates with a number of schools that have designated disadvantaged status, community groups and various arts organisations to promote participation and engagement in art education.
As an NCAD student, you will get the opportunity to take part in a number of art based workshops and events which aim to connect NCAD with a wide range of communities.
This includes NCAD Access Day where each Department offers experiential art workshops to secondary schools pupils and the Student Shadowing Programme where fifth year pupils spend two days in an NCAD studio. NCAD also hosts the Artist Mentoring Programme and the Primary School Access Programme for young learners from our linked schools and Youthreach centres.
If you are interested in getting involved in community outreach at NCAD please contact the Access Office, we look forward to meeting you.

Learning Support Service
The Student Learning Support Service is provided to students who are registered with NCAD’s disability office.
The service provides specifically tailored individual study support sessions to registered students so they can improve their academic skills and better manage college life. The service also provides skills based seminars and lectures to the wider student body on topics such as essay writing and planning/organisation.
The disability service can also assist students with disabilities who require specific in class and exam-based supports.
